Iranian short film ‘The Heavy Shadows of the Crow’ has made its way to the Petit Pavé - Curitiba independent film festival in Brazil.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that Behnam Asadollahi’s film is being screened at the 5th edition of Petit Pavé.
‘The Heavy Shadows of the Crow’ is about five men who grow out of soil in a flat desert.
The men are guided by a crow, but suddenly unexpected incidents happen, a synopsis for the film reads.
The film has already participated at numerous film festivals, including Tehran Short Film Festival in Iran, the 10th Baku Int’l Short Film Festival in Azerbaijan, the 13th FILMSAAZ Film Festival in India as well as the 2020 Gatffest Film Festival (formerly the Greater August Town Film Festival) in Jamaica.
It received the Best Experimental Film Award at the 19th Route 66 American Short Film Festival, and the special award of the 6th Corto e a Capto - Premio Mario Puzo Film Festival in Italy.
The 5th edition of Petit Pavé began on April 5 and will run until April 11.
The festival is taking place online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
